Reflection on Professor's Blog

I don't really know how to react to this blog. I had trouble understanding the post a little bit. I'm not sure if you lean towards agreeing with the media or disagreeing with the media? The way I read it I took it as you disagreeing with the media, hopefully that is correct. I would think about rewording it a little differently so it is a little easier for others to understand.
 I agree with Heraclitus that things are constantly changing. As far as the media goes, I think the forms of media change but society will still always be surrounded by forms of the media. Yes, the world is constantly changing and we need to learn to adapt to the many different ways people communicate, I think many people today are too swarmed by these things and don't pay attention to life outside of their screens. We should all, including myself, take the time to try to put our phones away, close our laptops, and enjoy the world around us.

Introduction

Hi everyone! I haven't used this blog in quite some time but since we have to do this assignment I'm just going to use it like before.

I'm an English major with a focus on Professional Writing and a minor in Public Relations. I'm only a sophomore but after graduating I plan on getting my Master's degree and working for a publishing house, hopefully somewhere in Philadelphia. I hope one day I can make a difference in the world.

Early this morning Dylan Follmer was taken off of this earth and put into heaven where he can finally receive his angel wings. Prayers for all of the mourning friends and family, rest in sweet peace

Prom, Please Hurry!

In my school, the only people who go to prom are juniors and seniors. So this year since I'm a junior, is the first time I will be able to attend and let me just tell you, I AM SO EXCITED. I've been planning everything already just so nothing goes wrong the big day. Our prom is scheduled for May 19 and have already bought my dress, my shoes, my jewelry, and scheduled my hair and make up appointment. Wanna see my dress? Winter time is finally welcoming us with some snow! Last night my small town received what had to have been at least 2 inches of the white fluffy stuff. It's pretty exciting since we've been getting rain for the past few months. Hopefully there's more to come!

Good Friends for Ya...

"I needed you most when I needed a friend, you let me down now like I let you down then."   -Blink 182; I don't really understand the ending of this quote. I get that it's saying friends let you down but I don't understand the whole you let me down now like i let you down then. But oh well. This quote really goes with how I've been feeling about one of my certain friends. A friend is supposed to always be there for you and care about your feelings. My certain friend has really let me down because from what she's saying, she doesn't care about my feelings. And from all of this happening I'm starting to wonder, did she ever care about me? I don't know. I guess it really is a dog eat dog world out there. Every man for himself.
